<p><strong><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;">Part Time position, Supporting Grand Rapids and surrounding areas</span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="line-height: 115%;">Range: $30 - $40 per hour</span></span></strong></p>

In the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant role, you will help this company in its commitment to serving others by a</span>dministering occupational therapy treatment to program participants according to a program plan developed by a licensed occupational therapist.<br> </span></p>

<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will assure all program participants receive scheduled occupational therapy treatments and documents therapy sessions. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">Perform active, passive and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, general therapy principles on program participants. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contra-indications of heating modalities and techniques. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">Fabricate appropriate splints under instruction of occupational therapist and instructs program participant in splint wear and care. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">Train program participants in homebound and community level, including endurance training. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant you will maintain a good working knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments. </span> </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="white-space: normal;">Confer with staff members and other health care members to exchange, discuss and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program and participates in treatment planning with trans-disciplinary team as requested.<span style="white-space: normal;"> </span></span>Adhere to ethics of confidentiality. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Take inventory of current occupational therapy equipment and confers with department regarding current status and future needs.<span style="white-space: normal;"> </span>Request supplies as needed. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Maintain or check daily billing logs for program participants. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Follow daily scheduling patterns, communicates with staff, and adjusts schedules as needed for flexibility.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong><em>Qualifications</em></strong><br></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-size: small;">High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program </span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;">T</span>wo years experience in neuro–rehabilitation preferred</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Licensed as COTA/L in State.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><strong style="text-indent: -0.25in;">Heavy work. </strong><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;">Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.<br></span></span></li>
