This role provides hands‑on leadership to electricians and technicians while supporting production, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy industrial environment.</p><h2></h2><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Safety & Compliance</h3><ul><li>Lead all electrical work in strict compliance with <b>Heidelberg Materials safety policies</b>, MSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and applicable local/state codes</li><li>Promote a strong safety culture through job safety analyses (JSAs), lockout/tagout enforcement, and daily safety talks</li><li>Ensure safe commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems</li></ul><h3>Maintenance & Reliability</h3><ul><li>Supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of:<ul><li>Medium and low voltage systems</li><li>Motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, MCCs</li><li>Instrumentation and control systems</li><li>Process equipment used in cement / aggregates production</li></ul></li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation failures to minimize downtime</li><li>Coordinate electrical support for shutdowns, outages, and capital projects</li></ul><h3>Leadership & Supervision</h3><ul><li>Supervise, schedule, and develop electricians and electrical technicians</li><li>Assign work orders and manage priorities through CMMS</li><li>Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback</li><li>Support workforce engagement and skills development</li></ul><h3>Planning & Coordination</h3><ul><li>Collaborate with mechanical maintenance, production, and engineering teams</li><li>Plan maintenance activities to align with production schedules</li><li>Maintain documentation, drawings, and electrical schematics</li><li>Assist with spare parts management and cost control</li></ul><h3>Continuous Improvement</h3><ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency</li><li>Support automation upgrades and process improvements</li><li>Participate in root cause analysis and reliability initiatives</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>What We Are Looking For:</b></h2><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Technical degree, electrical trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred</li><li>Minimum <b>5–7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience</b></li><li>Prior supervisory or lead experience in a heavy industrial environment</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Preferred Experience & Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience in <b>cement, aggregates, mining, or manufacturing</b> operations</li><li>Strong knowledge of:<ul><li>PLCs (Allen‑Bradley preferred)</li><li>Variable frequency drives</li><li>Industrial power distribution</li><li>Instrumentation and process controls</li></ul></li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics</li><li>Proficiency with CMMS systems</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills</li></ul><h2>Physical & Work Requirements</h2><ul><li>Ability to work in an industrial outdoor/indoor environment</li><li>Willingness to work rotating schedules, weekends, or call‑outs as needed</li><li>Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights</li><li>Exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>What We Offer:</b></h2><ul><li>Competitive pay, $77,180 to $102,900 and benefits</li><li>Strong safety culture</li><li>Career development and advancement opportunities</li><li>Stable, long‑term employment with a global building materials leader</li></ul><p></p><p>Heidelberg Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>As part of our hiring process, we may use AI-assisted tools to support the screening and evaluation of candidate applications and interviews.
