Position Summary The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a safe and healthy workplace. This role partners with all levels of the organization to minimize risk, prevent injuries, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Salary: $80K - $100K DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, and other applicable requirements). </li> <li>Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. </li> <li>Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses; determine root causes and recommend preventive measures. </li> <li>Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors. </li> <li>Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation required by regulatory agencies. </li> <li>Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and safety drills. </li> <li>Monitor and manage hazardous waste, chemical handling, and environmental compliance activities. </li> <li>Support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs as needed. </li> <li>Collaborate with department managers to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. </li> <li>Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management. </li> <li>Participate in new equipment, process, and facility reviews to ensure safety requirements are incorporated. </li> <li>Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices. </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. </li> <li>Minimum of 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. </li> <li>Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and applicable safety standards. </li> <li>Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions. </li> <li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. </li> <li>Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams. </li> </ul> Preferred Certifications <ul> <li>OSHA 30-Hour Certification </li> <li>Certified Safety Professional (CSP) </li> <li>Associate Safety Professional (ASP) </li> <li>First Aid/CPR Certification</li> </ul> Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is an industry-leading manufacturer of highly engineered components and sub-assemblies, supplying the commercial aerospace, military and industrial markets with small-to-large “function critical” products.
