Job Overview: We are seeking a versatile and customer-oriented Home Services Technician to join our team at Marvin Home Center. This full-time role involves hands-on work like drywall, finish carpentry, and window/door installation. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems and working independently. In addition to fieldwork, this position includes maintenance jobs for Marvin Headquarters and Visitor’s Center, and in-store support with sales, stocking, and inventory during slower periods. The role also involves being on-call for maintenance and emergency repairs at company-owned Warroad Real Estate properties, requiring seasonal checkups and coordination with contractors. This is a full-time position with weekday hours and weekend on-call responsibilities. Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time. On-call Weekends for Warroad Real Estate. Highlights of your role: Manage and perform small repair, installation, and maintenance jobs for residential and light commercial customers and Marvin Headquarters and Visitor Center buildings, including but not limited to: <div><ul><li>Drywall patching and repair</li><li>Siding ang gutter repair</li><li>Basic landscaping and trimming</li><li>Pressure washing and window cleaning</li><li>Window installation and adjustments</li><li>Finish carpentry, trim work, and custom wood projects</li><li>Shelving, cabinets, countertops, doors, window coverings, weatherstripping, and other handyman tasks </li></ul><div>Provide on-site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials. </div><div>Deliver excellent customer service both in-store and at job sites. </div><div>Safely operate hand and power tools in compliance with company and safety guidelines. </div><div>Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent. </div><div>Load, transport, and unload materials for projects as needed. </div><div>Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations. <div>This person will also be on call for company-owned Warroad Real Estate properties. </div><div><ul><li>Performing routine maintenance </li><li>Seasonal checkups </li><li>Emergency repairs </li></ul>Coordinating advanced repairs with preferred contractors and managing the needed repairs until completion </div></div></div> You're a good fit if you have (or if you can): <div><ul><li>Proven handyman, maintenance, or construction experience. </li><li>Required skills: drywall repair, window and door installation, and finish carpentry. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined/small spaces when needed. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. </li><li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. </li></ul></div> We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin: From people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
