Job description
The Manager Radiology is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the radiology department, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality imaging services. This role requires effective leadership to manage a team of radiologic technologists, radiologists, and support staff, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The Manager Radiology plays a critical role in optimizing workflow efficiency, implementing quality control measures, and maintaining regulatory compliance to provide accurate and timely diagnostic imaging results.<br><p><br /><b>Essential Job Function:</b></p><div><ul><li>Provides leadership and direction for various imaging modalities, collaborating with physicians and medical staff to ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality imaging services.</li><li>Develops goals and objectives to optimize staff utilization and operational efficiency, focusing on productivity targets and cost per unit to improve resource utilization and financial substantiality.</li><li>Monitors and enhances employee and patient satisfaction, implementing action plans for improvement based on feedback to improve the overall quality of care and the success of the radiology department.</li><li>Validates completion of departmental orientation, skills assessments, and staff development to ensure ongoing competency and professional growth to contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging services.</li><li>Defines and monitors measurable outcomes based on evidence-based practices, including safety initiatives, turnaround times, accreditations, and compliance with regulatory standards to adhere to quality and safety standards, providing a reliable and efficient radiology service.</li><li>Safety Promise, Safety Zone Portal, Tele Tracking, Turnaround Times, IAC Accreditation, and Joint Commission.</li><li>Assists in the selection and supervision of personnel, including timely completion of HR and performance management processes to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.</li><li>Assists in budget development and monitors variances to ensure financial accountability and responsible resource allocation.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><p><br /><b>Education:</b></p><div><ul><li>Required: Associate's Degree.</li></ul></div><p><br /><b>Experience:</b></p><div><ul><li>Required: Minimum of 3 years, Healthcare.</li></ul></div><p><br /><b>Licensure/Certification/Listing: </b></p><div><ul><li>Required: ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - Dx; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; Credentialed in a relevant field of radiologic technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other licensing body for imaging (MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Interventional).</li></ul></div>
