The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Compensation</b></H2></div><div><p>$75K - 100K Annual Salary</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></H2></div><div><ul><li>Directly supervises a team of hourly Laboratory Technicians</li><li>Reviews QC data daily and reports discrepancies to the manager in a timely manner</li><li>Responsible for administering the department safety program</li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all QC-related analytical equipment</li><li>Provides formal, written reports to manager as required</li><li>Responsible for maintaining departmental cleanliness and efficiency</li><li>Generates and tracks equipment repair requests and purchases departmental supplies</li><li>Reviews and approves departmental payroll; creates work schedules and ensures vacation coverage</li><li>Assists department manager with the performance of stockpile measurements/inventory control</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education</b></H2></div><div><p>ACI Certifications (required)</p><p>Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Requirements/Qualifications</b></H2></div><div><ul><li>Experience in a cement industry required </li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Accurate and timely with data analysis and reports</li><li>Able to teach others</li><li>Good use of Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Ability to quickly learn and master proprietary software associated with analytical equipment</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills to determine and rectify mechanical and electrical problems</li><li>Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours); climb stairs and ladders as high as 380 feet in elevation; ability to lift and carry 70lbs. up stairs; must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces</li><li>Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground)</li><li>Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required</li><li>Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings</li><li>Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process</li><li>Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require the use of hearing protection</li><li>Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various lab chemicals; see MSDS for more details</li><li>Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights and confined spaces</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with a large ERP system, SAP a plus</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Conditions of Employment</b></H2></div><div><p>Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
