In this leadership role, you will guide and support clinical teams, promote a culture of excellence, and help shape the future of patient care through servant leadership.</p></div><div><div><div><div></div><div><div><h2><i><b>What You’ll Do</b></i></h2><ul><li>Lead and support competent, compassionate co‑workers in delivering exceptional patient care.</li><li>Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate closely with the Staffing Office on patient flow and bed management.</li><li>Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals.</li><li>Partner with clinical leadership, physicians, and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve processes across the continuum of care.</li><li>Inspire and model a shared vision—encouraging change, professional growth, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Mentor, guide, and empower co‑workers to become leaders of change within the organization.</li><li>Provide meaningful recognition and foster a positive, engaging team culture through servant leadership.</li><li>Hold direct and indirect caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities, adherence to policies, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Participate in performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.</li><li>Demonstrate Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards in all interactions.</li></ul><p></p></div></div></div></div></div><p><b><i>Qualifications</i></b></p><p><b>Education: </b>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:</p><ul><li><p>Associate Degree in Nursing</p></li><li><p>Nursing Diploma</p></li><li><p>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p></li></ul><p><b>Licensure: </b>Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.</p><p><b>Experience: </b>3-5 years of hospital nursing experience</p><p><b>Certifications:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Required:</b> Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.</p></li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Education:</b> BSN preferred</p></li><li><p><b>Licensure:</b> Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred</p></li><li><p><b>Experience:</b> Prior management experience - experience within change management</p></li></ul><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly</p></li><li><p>Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift</p></li><li><p>Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties</p></li></ul><p></p><h1><span style="color:#537824"><b>Why Mercy?</b></span></h1><p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
