RN Navigator - Registered Nurse - Oncology - Part Time

The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.</p><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursing</p></li><li><p>Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing</p></li><li><p>Experience: 2 years related experience</p></li><li><p>Preferred Experience: 3 years in an oncology setting, formal patient education and community educational presentations, support-group facilitation</p></li><li><p>Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice</p></li><li><p>Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire is required</p></li><li><p>Preferred Certification: Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.</p></li><li><p>Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.</p></li><li><p>Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.</p></li></ul><p></p><h1><span style="color:#537824"><b>Why Mercy?</b></span></h1><p></p><p>From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.</p><p></p><p>Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
