Overview: <p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">GovCIO is currently hiring for <span style="color: black;">Subject Matter Expert – Level III / Senior Network Architect for our NIH-CIT Proposal.</span> This position will be located in Rockville, MD<span style="color: red;"> </span>and will be a hybrid<span style="color: red;"> </span>position.</span></p> Responsibilities: <p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">The SME role’s responsibilities include:</span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Lead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Provide subject matter expertise in appropriate architecture area</span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">The Network Architecture Section responsibilities include:</span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Maintain technical architecture documentation</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Troubleshooting and problem resolution</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Change management</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation</span></li><li>Strategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline and have at least one of the Cisco CCIE certifications, both the written and practical. Within each of the Cisco Certifications, the following specializations are needed and listed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless O</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">R Experience required is 8‐plus years in Network Services and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Must be able to obtain a Public Trust</span></li></ul> Posted Salary Range: USD $149,841.00 - USD $149,841.00 /Yr.
