This is a fantastic opportunity for a natural leader with a background in <b>logistics, transportation, or waste management operations</b> who is ready to take the next step in their career.</p><p></p><p>In this role, you’ll <b>supervise garbage truck drivers</b>, oversee daily route operations, manage dispatch, and drive safety performance. You'll also be mentored and trained for potential <b>future leadership roles</b> within our organization.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Supervise and support <b>solid waste collection crews</b> and route drivers</p></li><li><p>Assign daily work schedules and adjust <b>routes and staffing</b> as needed</p></li><li><p>Conduct <b>safety audits</b>, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings</p></li><li><p>Monitor service quality and perform <b>field inspections</b></p></li><li><p>Investigate and resolve <b>customer service issues</b> related to waste collection</p></li><li><p>Oversee the <b>Dispatch Department</b>, ensuring smooth and efficient operations</p></li><li><p>Maintain up-to-date <b>employee records</b> and performance documentation</p></li><li><p>Administer progressive discipline as needed, in line with company policy</p></li><li><p>Complete <b>quarterly performance reviews</b> for all drivers</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum <b>2 years of supervisory experience</b>, preferably in <b>waste management</b>, <b>logistics</b>, or <b>transportation</b></p></li><li><p><b>CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)</b> preferred or willingness to obtain</p></li><li><p>Experience with <b>route management</b>, <b>dispatch operations</b>, or <b>fleet supervision</b></p></li><li><p>Strong leadership, organizational, and <b>problem-solving skills</b></p></li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required</p></li><li><p>Willingness to <b>relocate for promotion</b> within the company (a plus)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Why Join Waste Connections?</b></p><ul><li><p>Be part of a <b>stable, recession-resistant industry</b></p></li><li><p>Access to <b>growth and advancement opportunities</b> across the U.S.</p></li><li><p>Competitive compensation and benefits package</p></li><li><p>Safety-first culture backed by a <b>nationally recognized environmental services leader</b></p></li></ul><p></p><p>Successful candidates are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.
