We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Catholic Medical Center which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.<h5>Job Summary and Qualifications</h5> Performs Vascular Interventional examinations, ensuring patient safety and efficient patient flow within the Vascular Interventional Radiology Department. Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. </li><li>Assist physicians with interventional procedures. </li><li>Maintainclinical competency and professional acumen. </li><li>Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self. </li><li>Maintain equipment and supplies. </li><li>Perform all routine radiographic procedures and views according to the department Procedure Manual. </li><li>Prepare and position patients for special procedures; obtain scout films, set up sterile trays. </li><li>Position patients to obtain desired views and apply immobilization devices as required. </li><li>Prepare patients and self for sterile technique. </li><li>Assist physicians in passing catheters, wires, and related tools. </li><li>Assist in the movements of patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and radiographic tables. </li><li>Assist physician with procedures in the interventional lab to include IR and vascular procedures. </li><li>Attend regularly scheduled meetings, i.e. staff, in-service training. </li><li>Prepare and/or administer contrast media i.e., orally, IV, rectally. </li><li>Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation, ID band, etc. </li><li>Describe nature and time requirements of requested examinations to patients. </li><li>Provide radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards. </li><li>Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures and administer first aid/CPR as needed. </li><li>Record procedure data through EMR to include participants, exam time, and procedure performed. </li><li>Restock supplies and maintain assigned work station/equipment in an orderly fashion and orders supplies. </li><li>Adjust technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation. </li><li>Identify problems and communicate to immediate supervisor, offer solutions as appropriate. </li><li>Perform and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. </li><li>Assist with the usage and record keeping of products through the inventory tracking system. </li><li>Maintainclinical competency for designated area annually. </li><li>Attend meetings and seminars external to the department in order to maintain professional acumen. </li><li>Complete paperwork when applicable. </li><li>Participate in identified professional organizations as required. </li><li>Perform similar or related duties as assigned or directed.</li></ul> <h6>What qualifications you will need:</h6><ul><li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date</li><li>(ARRT-R) Radiography</li><li>State of New Hampshire Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy License Required</li><li>Associate's Degree Required</li></ul> <h5>Benefits</h5>Catholic Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
