This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment caring for some of the most complex cardiovascular patients in the country. </p><p><strong>Why This Role: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Practice alongside expert providers in a Level 1 Trauma Center and leading rehabilitation facility. </p> </li><li><p>Participate in a Professional Nurse Advancement Program that recognizes clinical expertise. </p> </li><li><p>Receive comprehensive training in advanced cardiovascular devices and procedures. </p> </li><li><p>Enjoy generous paid time off, including personal days and a spiritual holiday. </p> </li> </ul><p><strong>Position Details: </strong> </p><ul><li><p><strong>Schedule: </strong> Full-Time, Night Shift </p> </li><li><p><strong>Shifts: </strong> 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours per week) </p> </li><li><p><strong>Weekends/Holidays: </strong> Rotating schedule </p> </li><li><p><strong>Call: </strong> No call requirement </p> </li><li><p><strong>Location: </strong> Based in the Texas Medical Center </p> </li><li><p><strong>Credentialing Timeline: </strong> 2 3 months </p> </li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong> </p><p><strong>Education & Certification: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Must hold certification as an <strong>Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) </strong> </p> </li> </ul><p><strong>Experience: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>2 years of RN or NP experience in Critical Care </strong> required </p> </li><li><p><strong>Cardiology experience preferred </strong> </p> </li><li><p>New graduate NPs must have at least <strong>2+ years of ICU RN experience </strong> </p> </li> </ul><p><strong>Training Provided: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Specialized training on: </p><ul><li><p>VV/VA ECMO </p> </li><li><p>Mechanical Circulatory Support </p> </li><li><p>Heart and Lung Transplant care </p> </li><li><p>LVAD management </p> </li><li><p>Post-Operative Cardiac Surgery patients </p> </li> </ul> </li> </ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management. </p> </li><li><p>Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team across the full spectrum of care from admission to discharge. </p> </li><li><p>Maintain compliance with the <strong>Texas Nurse Practice Act </strong> and uphold all organizational standards of clinical practice. </p> </li> </ul>
