Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU APP Needed in California<br>Target Start Date: March 2, 2026 (flexible)<br>Contract Length: 26 week assignment (full time), flexible options available<br>Schedule<br>Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours no call<br>Shift Structure & Expectations:<br>3 12 schedule: Days<br>Shift: 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.<br>Rotating weekends & holidays<br>Full time acute care ICU coverage<br>EMR: Not specified<br>Practice Details<br>Setting:<br>Large academic teaching hospital<br>Level I Trauma Center<br>Specialized pediatric cardiac ICU environment<br>Patient Population:<br>Critically ill pediatric patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical ICU care<br>Support Team:<br>Multidisciplinary team including intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, APPs, and specialized ICU nursing staff<br>Reason for Opening:<br>Permanent staff relocation<br>Contract Flexibility:<br>Open to blocked scheduling<br>Open to shorter or longer contract variations (minimum 13 weeks considered)<br>Clinical Responsibilities<br>Full scope Pediatric Cardiac ICU management<br>Managing post operative pediatric cardiac surgery patients<br>Advanced cardiac critical care responsibilities<br>High acuity cardiac ICU monitoring, interventions, and patient rounding<br>Collaboration with pediatric CT surgeons and ICU attendings<br>Requirements<br>Role: Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Critical Care / Pediatric Cardiac ICU<br>Experience:<br>Minimum 2 years required<br>Must have pediatric cardiac ICU experience<br>Not a fit: Adult only APPs or Peds ICU APPs without heart/cardiac background<br>License:<br>Active California license required<br>Not willing to license unless candidate is a PA<br>Certifications: Not specified in original data<br>Skills Required:<br>Advanced pediatric cardiac ICU competency<br>Ability to manage high acuity CT surgical patients<br>Comfort in a teaching hospital environment<br>Credentialing Timeframe: 7 weeks<br>Location<br>Los Angeles, California Major academic medical center and Level I Trauma teaching hospital.<br>If you are interested or would like to be presented, please reach out to me for more details.<br>Morgan Hennessey<br>Recruiting Consultant<br>
