Emergency Medicine APP Needed in Texas (Level II Trauma)<br>Target Start Date: April 7, 2026<br>Contract Length: 13 week locum tenens assignment (potential ongoing need)<br>Schedule<br>Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only<br>Shift Structure: <br>A variety of day, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends.<br>Monday Wednesday Shifts:<br>6:00 AM 4:00 PM<br>8:00 AM 6:00 PM<br>12:00 PM 10:00 PM<br>2:00 PM 12:00 AM<br>4:00 PM 2:00 AM<br>8:00 PM 6:00 AM<br>Thursday Sunday Shifts:<br>6:00 AM 4:00 PM<br>8:00 AM 6:00 PM<br>2:00 PM 12:00 AM<br>4:00 PM 2:00 AM<br>8:00 PM 6:00 AM<br>Call: None<br>Orientation:<br>If experienced with Meditech: 1 orientation shift + 2 shadow shifts<br>Practice Details<br>Setting: High volume Emergency Department within an acute care hospital<br>Hospital Size: 423 beds<br>ED Beds: 49<br>Annual ED Volume: 70,000 visits<br>Admissions: 25%<br>Patient Population: Urban<br>Trauma Level: Level II<br>Support Staff:<br>2 3 EM physicians per shift<br>Single coverage periods overnight and early morning<br>Full multi specialty consultant backup 24/7<br>EMR: Meditech<br>Clinical Scope Includes:<br>Standard emergency medicine procedures<br>Management of high acuity trauma and medical emergencies<br>Coordination with trauma surgeons (24/7 onsite)<br>Care within a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Primary Chest Pain Center<br>Common Cases:<br>Full spectrum emergency presentations<br>Trauma, stroke, cardiac, and high acuity medical cases<br>Requirements<br>Board Certification: Required (ABEM prepared/certified preferred)<br>License: Active Texas license required (not willing to license)<br>Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS<br>Experience:<br>High volume ED experience<br>Level II trauma experience required<br>Case Logs: Required for requested EM privileges<br>Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 90 days<br>Name Clear: Required prior to submission<br>Location<br>Houston, Texas High volume Level II trauma Emergency Department within a large acute care hospital; local or travel candidates welcome<br>If you are interested or would like to be presented, please reach out to me for more details.<br>Morgan Hennessey<br>Recruiting Consultant<br>
