Job description
<strong>Nurse Practitioner (NP) </strong><br><strong>Location: Highland Hills, OH 44128 </strong><br><strong>Schedule: Day Shift </strong><br><strong>Hours: hours per week (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) </strong><br><strong>Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience </strong><br><strong>Job Responsibilities </strong><br>Patient Care & Clinical Duties<br>• Develop and implement patient care plans while performing advanced nursing duties within the scope of licensure.<br>• Monitor patient progress and intervene in the course of chronic illness.<br>• Conduct routine physical examinations to evaluate chronic conditions and diagnose new medical issues.<br>• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, including prescribing medications when appropriate.<br>• Manage discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients with chronic or ongoing medical needs.<br>• Perform minor procedures as permitted by training and competency.<br>• Determine the need for specialist referrals or external consultations when required.<br>• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.<br>• Administer immunizations and vaccinations to prevent communicable diseases.<br>Medical Documentation<br>• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.<br>• Document patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.<br>• Participate in regular medical quality review and oversight processes.<br>Clinical Support & Leadership<br>• Provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.<br>• Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality patient care.<br>Professional Participation<br>• Participate in professional meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.<br>• Contribute to ongoing healthcare quality and patient safety programs.<br>• Provide patient education on health maintenance, prevention, and risk factors.<br>• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.<br><strong>Required Skills & Competencies </strong><br>• Strong knowledge of advanced nursing practices and clinical procedures.<br>• Understanding of healthcare regulations, including patient privacy requirements.<br>• Ability to assess patient conditions and make informed clinical decisions.<br>• Skilled in using medical equipment such as:<br>o Stethoscope<br>o Blood pressure monitor<br>o EKG machine<br>o Otoscope<br>o Ophthalmoscope<br>o Other diagnostic tools<br>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<br>• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with patients and healthcare staff.<br><strong>Minimum Qualifications </strong><br>• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.<br>• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.<br>• Advanced Practice certification with authority to prescribe medications.<br>• Valid CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level).<br>
