Job description
<strong>Job Title: Part time Nurse Practitioner </strong><br><strong>Location: Columbus, OH 43222 </strong><br><strong>Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (No weekends/holidays) </strong><br><strong>Hours/Week: </strong><br><strong>Duration: At least 3 months from projected start date </strong><br><strong>Minimum Education: Master s Degree </strong><br><strong>Job Responsibilities </strong><br><strong>The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care and clinical oversight, including: </strong><br><strong>1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties </strong><br>• Develop and implement patient care plans within scope of licensure.<br>• Monitor and manage chronic illnesses; perform routine physical exams and assess acute and chronic conditions.<br>• Prescribe medications and provide treatments as appropriate.<br>• Complete discharge planning and follow-up care.<br>• Perform minor procedures as allowed by training and competency.<br>• Evaluate need for referrals and order/review lab, imaging, and diagnostic tests.<br>• Administer vaccinations and immunizations.<br><strong>2. Medical Documentation & Record Keeping </strong><br>• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up according to professional standards and policies.<br>• Collaborate with clinical leadership for quality oversight.<br><strong>3. Clinical Leadership </strong><br>• Provide guidance and direction to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, phlebotomists, and other care staff.<br><strong>4. Professional Development & Committee Participation </strong><br>• Attend professional meetings, continuing education, and in-service training.<br>• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and staff.<br><strong>Qualifications </strong><br>• Valid RN license and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.<br>• Certification by Ohio Board of Nursing for advanced practice, with authority to prescribe per ORC 4723.<br>• Knowledge of advanced nursing practices, HIPAA regulations, state and federal nursing policies, clinical procedures, and healthcare program management.<br>• Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and effective patient communication.<br><strong>Required Documents </strong><br>• CPR certification<br>• COVID vaccine card or exemption letter<br>• Ohio Medical License<br>• DEA card<br>• PECOS number<br>• National Provider Identifier (NPI)<br>
