Job Summary Geisinger Community Medicine is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as an Inboxologist-a hybrid role combining in-office primary care (60%) with virtual work-from-home in-basket management (40%). Job Duties What You'll Do: <ul><li> Provide proactive, patient-centered care by managing clinical messages, medication requests, and follow-ups </li><li> Adjust care plans and deliver patient education in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care teams </li><li> Conduct virtual triage, diagnostic assessments, and telemedicine visits </li><li> Respond to in-basket messages with accuracy, empathy, and timeliness </li><li> Support continuity of care through effective communication and documentation in Epic </li> </ul> Clinical Responsibilities: <ul><li> Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for patients of all ages </li><li> Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe and manage medications </li><li> Perform procedures within your scope of practice </li><li> Communicate with collaborating physicians and care teams to ensure safe, coordinated care </li><li> Follow best practices for digital inbox management and cross-disciplinary collaboration </li> </ul> Requirements: <ul><li> Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who resides in Pennsylvania with an active Pennsylvania license </li><li> Minimum 3 years' experience in family medicine, including chronic and acute care management </li><li> Access to a private workspace and reliable broadband </li><li> Proficiency in Epic and digital in-basket workflows </li><li> Experience with telemedicine and asynchronous patient communication </li><li> Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team </li> </ul> Schedule: <ul><li> This is not a fully remote position- 60% onsite presence is required. </li><li> Full-time, Monday-Friday </li><li> One half-day Saturday every 6-8 weeks of inbox management </li><li> One weekly early (beginning at 7 AM) or late (until 7 PM) shift of inbox management </li> </ul> Position Details Education Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred) Experience Minimum of 3 years-Related work experience (Required) Certification(s) and License(s) Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body About Geisinger Founded more than 100 years ago by Abigail Geisinger, the system now includes ten hospital campuses, a 550,000-member health plan, two research centers and the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
