<p><b>Assignment Length: </b>Ongoing coverage need </p><p><b>Start Date: </b>August 5 </p><p><b>Openings: </b>1 </p><p><b>Reason for Coverage: </b>Long-term permanent search </p><p><b>Practice Setting: </b> </p><ul><li>Level III NICU </li><li>21-bed unit </li><li>Average 10 PPD </li> </ul><p><b>Schedule: </b> </p><ul><li>24-hour shifts </li><ul><ul><ul><li>6:00a-6:00p on-site </li><li>6:00p-6:00a call off-site </li> </ul> </ul> </ul><li>Orientation August 5th </li><li>Immediate coverage needs: 08/06-08/19 </li><li>Average 10-14 shifts per month </li> </ul><p><b>Patient Population: </b>Neonates </p><p><b>EMR: </b>Cerner </p><p><b>Credentialing: </b>60 days </p><p><b>Requirements: </b> </p><ul><li>Active Michigan licensure </li><li>Board certification </li><li>NRP certification </li><li>Minimum 1-year Neonatal experience or equivalent </li> </ul><p><b>Travel Benefits: </b> </p><p>If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full. </p><p><b>Provided Travel Expenses: </b> </p><ul><li>Round-trip flight </li><li>Rental car and fuel </li><li>Mileage reimbursement (in lieu of flight and rental car) </li><li>Lodging </li> </ul><p><b>Job Responsibilities (Generalized): </b> </p><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions </li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans </li><li>Order and interpret diagnostic tests </li><li>Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions </li><li>Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. </li><li>Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty </li><li>Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care </li><li>Document patient care accurately and thoroughly </li> </ul><p><b>Skills: </b> </p><ul><li>Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients </li><li>Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty </li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions </li><li>Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload </li><li>Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team </li> </ul><p><b>Education Requirements: </b> </p><ul><li>Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) </li> </ul><p><b>Licenses & Certifications: </b> </p><ul><li>Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Michigan </li><li>National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AANP ) </li> </ul><p><b>Experience: </b> </p><ul><li>While specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty </li> </ul><p><b>Additional Notes: </b> </p><ul><li>Locum tenens APP positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to address staffing shortages in hospitals, surgical centers or other healthcare facilities </li><li>These positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules, allowing APPs to pursue diverse work environments and control their workload </li> </ul>
