Neurology Nurse Practitioner

<p><strong><u>Job Description: </u> </strong> </p><ul><li>Dates of 2025 - Onging </li><li>Coverage needed while they recruit for perm </li><li>Inpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative care </li><li>No OR/First Assist or procedural work required </li><li>Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management </li><li>Coverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts </li><li>Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., in-house coverage required </li><li>weekend covereage required if needed </li><li>No on-call duties </li><li>Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day </li><li>EMR system used: eCare/Cerner </li><li>Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation </li><li>Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomously </li><li>Supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7 </li><li>No new graduates will be accepted </li><li>Procedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repair </li><li>Patient demographics range from ages 0 to 99 </li> </ul> Requirements <p>Board Certified (ANCC, AANP or NCCPA) - <strong>REQUIRED </strong><br>Active MI license - <strong>REQUIRED </strong><br>Clean Background- <strong>REQUIRED </strong><br>BLS, ENLS, NIHSS - <strong>REQUIRED </strong><br>MI addressed DEA (Verbal Confirmation) - <strong>REQUIRED </strong><br>Looking for 2-3 shifts a week or more-<strong> REQUIRED </strong> </p>
