Orthopedic APP (NP or PA) Needed in Texas<br>Target Start Date: June 1, 2026<br>Contract Length: 6 week assignment (locum tenens), potential extension<br>Schedule<br>Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours no call<br>Shift Structure & Expectations:<br>3 12 schedule<br>Night shifts: 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.<br>Full time inpatient orthopedic coverage<br>No weekends noted in listing<br>EMR: Not specified<br>Practice Details<br>Setting:<br>Inpatient orthopedic service within a hospital affiliated clinic<br>Reason for Opening:<br>Coverage needed for APP going on maternity leave<br>Support & Responsibilities:<br>Rounding on inpatient orthopedic patients<br>Seeing orthopedic consults in the hospital<br>Collaborating with the orthopedic provider on call<br>Must have a clean malpractice and disciplinary background<br>Preference for local candidates<br>Credentialing Timeframe: 130 days<br>Clinical Scope<br>Inpatient rounding on post operative and acute orthopedic patients<br>Performing orthopedic consult evaluations<br>Communicating consult findings with attending/provider on call<br>Nighttime inpatient coverage in an orthopedic setting<br>No outpatient clinic responsibilities indicated<br>Requirements<br>Role: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Orthopedics<br>Experience: Orthopedic background required<br>License: Active Texas license required (not willing to license)<br>Certifications: Not specified<br>Skills Required:<br>Independent orthopedic inpatient management<br>Ability to assess and manage consults at night<br>Strong communication with on call providers<br>Location<br>McKinney, Texas Inpatient orthopedic service environment with night shift coverage needs.<br>If you are interested or would like to be presented, please reach out to me for more details.<br>Morgan Hennessey<br>Recruiting Consultant<br>
