<p><strong>Nurse Practitioner (Geriatric & Adult Care) - New Grads are accepted - Jersey City, NJ<br></strong><br><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Full-Time Onsite Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM<strong><br>Setting: </strong> Outpatient </p> <p><strong>About the Role: </strong> </p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APN) </strong> to join our team in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients experiencing pain and disability due to neuromuscular, vascular, and orthopedic conditions or injuries. </p><p>The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our physicians to coordinate diagnostic evaluations, treatments, and care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician passionate about improving quality of life for patients with chronic and acute pain. </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans, including physical therapy, intra-articular injections, and spinal injections. </p> </li><li><p>Participate in clinical decision-making regarding diagnostic studies such as X-rays, MRIs, vascular testing, and electromyography (EMG). </p> </li><li><p>Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and consultants as needed. </p> </li><li><p>Assist physicians in medication management, including pain medications, with attention to safe prescribing practices. </p> </li><li><p>Perform thorough examinations with a strong focus on orthopedic and neuromuscular systems. </p> </li><li><p>Ensure accurate documentation and effective patient triage. </p> </li><li><p>Contribute to high standards of care in both outpatient and nursing home settings. </p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Board Certification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APN), preferably in Adult Care. </p> </li><li><p>Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey. </p> </li><li><p>Current DEA and CDS registrations in good standing. </p> </li><li><p>Minimum of 1 year of experience managing patients with chronic and acute pain. </p> </li><li><p>Experience in nursing home settings is preferred. </p> </li><li><p>Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neuromuscular assessments. </p> </li><li><p>Additional preferences: IV placement skills, Spanish language proficiency, strong typing/documentation skills. </p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Health insurance (eligible after 90 days) </p> </li><li><p>401(k) with company match </p> </li><li><p>Paid time off (2 weeks after 90 days, increases after 1 year) </p> </li><li><p>Tuition assistance </p> </li><li><p>Performance-based bonuses </p> </li><li><p>Free food & snacks in office<br></p> </li> </ul>
