Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist Needed: Provide Essential Call Coverage in Vibrant Arizona (j- ) <p><strong>Are you a board-certified interventional cardiologist seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity to provide essential call coverage in a thriving community near Phoenix, Arizona? </strong> We're actively searching for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and ensure high-quality cardiovascular care for our patients. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in a supportive environment and explore the beauty of the Southwest. </p><p><strong>What this Opportunity Offers: </strong> </p><ul><li><p><strong>Immediate Impact: </strong> Address a critical need by providing call coverage as soon as possible. </p> </li><li><p><strong>Flexible Schedule: </strong> Focus on call coverage for the night shift on July 3rd, 17th, and 24th (5 pm to 7 am), allowing you to maintain control over your schedule. Major holidays are observed, including New Year's Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. </p> </li><li><p><strong>Seamless Technology: </strong> Leverage your familiarity with Cerner, the EMR system used at the facility. </p> </li><li><p><strong>Diverse Patient Care: </strong><br>Experience a blend of call coverage responsibilities, including STEMI call and inpatient cardiology, alongside some outpatient clinic involvement. </p> </li><li><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li>Be available by phone to address the needs of patients experiencing acute cardiac emergencies (STEMI) during off-hours. </li><li>Evaluate the need for in-person intervention for patients in the inpatient cardiology unit. </li><li>Provide timely and appropriate telephone consultations or arrange for patients to be seen in person if necessary. </li><li>Collaborate with the on-site healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. </li><li>Manage patient admissions as needed (temporary privileges not available). </li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner EMR system (credentialing permitting). </li> </ul> </li><li><p><strong>Qualifications for Success: </strong> </p><ul><li>Board eligibility or certification in Interventional Cardiology is mandatory. </li><li>Valid medical license in Arizona or eligibility for licensure through the Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC). </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues. </li><li>The ability to make sound clinical decisions under time pressure is essential. </li><li>Experience in a call coverage role is a plus. </li> </ul> </li> </ul><p><strong>This is a remarkable opportunity for a motivated and experienced interventional cardiologist to contribute to patient care in a growing Arizona community.
