<b>JOB OVERVIEW </b><br>Job Title: Interventional Cardiology Physician <br>Job Type: Permanent Full-Time <br>Location: Goodyear, AZ <br>Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient <br>Schedule: Monday Friday, with limited weekend call (1:3 rotation) <br>On-Call Expectations: ER call up to 4 days per month (single hospital coverage) <br>Start Date: Between May 2025 and August 2025 <br><b>PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE </b> <br>Patient Demographics: Adult and Geriatric populations <br>Average Daily Volume / Census: Variable based on inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic volume <br>Admissions & Rounding: Included (inpatient rounding responsibilities shared across team) <br>Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes, inpatient and outpatient consults expected <br>Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Coronary artery disease, heart failure, interventional procedures (angioplasty, stenting), diagnostic catheterization <br><b>FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS </b> <br>Advanced Cardiovascular Center inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services <br>EMR System: Epic <br>Specialty Backup: 24/7 cardiology and surgical support available <br>Support Staff: 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing and cath lab support staff <br>Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to the Medical Director of Cardiology <br>Reason for Opening: Growth in patient volume and service expansion <br><b>CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE </b> <br>Credentialing Timeline: 6090 days <br><b>COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS </b> <br>Base Salary: $700,000 guaranteed base for the first year plus productivity bonus <br>Incentive Bonus Structure: Productivity-based model following initial guarantee period <br>Relocation Assistance: Available and negotiable <br>Partnership Track: Offered following initial employment period <br>CME Allowance: 1 week CME + reimbursement provided <br>PTO & Holidays: 4 weeks PTO + 5 sick days annually <br>Health & Retirement Benefits: <br>Medical, Dental, Vision (start day one) <br>401(k) with employer match <br>Life & Disability Coverage <br>Malpractice Insurance (with Tail coverage if applicable) <br><b>REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS </b> <br>Board Status: BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology (Board Certification within 5 years of residency required) <br>State License Required: Active Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain) <br>Active DEA Certififcation <br>Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA issued) <br>Experience: Completion of 1-year Interventional Cardiology fellowship; vascular skills a plus <br>Additional Requirements: Proficiency with EKG, echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear medicine stress, catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement <br>Visa Sponsorship: J-1 Visa eligible (H-1B not available)<br><b>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </b> <br>Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care in collaboration with existing physician and APP team <br>Perform interventional procedures including diagnostic heart catheterizations, angioplasty, and coronary stent placements <br>Interpret noninvasive studies including EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular imaging <br>Participate in call coverage and weekend rounding as scheduled <br>Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing departmental growth <br><b>COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS </b> <br>About the Area: Goodyear, Arizona is a growing suburb of the Phoenix metropolitan area known for its warm climate, community-focused neighborhoods, and access to outdoor recreation <br>Local Attractions: Hiking, golf, art festivals, MLB spring training facilities, and nearby desert trails <br>School System: Excellent public and charter school options, with top-rated districts nearby <br>Housing: Affordable suburban housing with access to new developments and family-friendly amenities <br>Demographic & Professional Profile: Popular with families and professionals working in healthcare and technology sectors <br>Nearby Cities: 30 minutes from Phoenix and Scottsdale <br>Nearest Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport <br>Distance from Airport: Approximately 30 miles 35 minutes by car <br>
