The ideal candidate will work approximately 10-12 shifts a month and maintain a strong focus on providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients. </p> Highlights Include: <ul><li>Rounding on Adult and Pediatric patients, offering a great mix for individuals who want inpatient work and the ability to care for patients of all ages </li><li>Flexible scheduling of shifts, 8 PM to 8 AM, with 12-hour shifts </li><li>Inpatient clinical responsibilities including admissions, discharges, consults, and transfers </li><li>ICU management, including rounding, running codes, vent management, and intubations </li><li>Attend caesarean sections and round in the newborn nursery (NRP certification required) </li><li>Ability to work independently with on-call specialists available by phone </li><li>Nocturnists can expect to have 4-5 patient encounters per night with an average of 3-4 Emergency Department admissions </li><li>Wide scope of services provided at the hospital, including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology </li><li>Ability to live in close proximity to Raleigh or Wilmington, North Carolina </li><li>Family-friendly community with an affordable cost of living </li><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package </li> </ul> Candidate Requirements: <ul><li>Board certification/board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics </li><li>Ability to work independently and maintain a strong focus on patient care </li> </ul> Additional Information: <p>This is a full-time permanent position offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional inpatient care to patients of all ages as a Nocturnist Hospitalist.
