<br><strong>Job Title: </strong> Staff Physician Internal Medicine (Health Equity and Value-Based Care Faculty)<br /><strong>Location: </strong> Dallas, TX<br /><strong>Job Type: </strong> Full-Time<br /><strong>Salary: </strong> Competitive; exact compensation to be discussed during interview<br>About the Position:<br>Parkland Health Careers invites passionate and dedicated physicians to join our innovative Value-Based Care Clinic in Dallas, Texas, as a Staff Physician specializing in Internal Medicine. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and teach within a dynamic academic environment committed to health equity, quality improvement, and community-centered care. You will serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track, mentoring residents and advancing innovative healthcare practices that reduce disparities and improve patient outcomes.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br><strong>Clinical Practice & Patient Care </strong><br><ul><li>Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Internal Medicine care within the Value-Based Care Clinic, emphasizing population health and social determinants of health. </li><li>Utilize health equity-focused, risk stratification, and care coordination tools to optimize patient outcomes and minimize disparities. </li><li>Deliver coordinated, team-based care alongside care managers, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and community partners. </li><li>Help establish and refine standard practices aligned with value-based care principles and best practices. </li> </ul><br><strong>Teaching & Educational Leadership </strong><br><ul><li>Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track, supervising and mentoring residents in clinical, research, and scholarly activities. </li><li>Lead educational initiatives such as journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, and resident workshops. </li><li>Teach residents to incorporate social determinants, community-engaged approaches, and equity-centered decision-making into their practice. </li><li>Provide ongoing formative and summative feedback to support residents' professional growth. </li><li>Collaborate with residency and program leadership to develop curricula aligned with ACGME competencies and institutional priorities. </li> </ul><br><strong>Quality Improvement & Research </strong><br><ul><li>Mentor residents in quality improvement projects and health equity research. </li><li>Participate actively in departmental and interdisciplinary quality initiatives, using performance data to inform practice improvements. </li><li>Support operational plans aimed at enhancing clinical workflows, addressing clinical, regulatory, and operational challenges. </li> </ul><br><strong>Collaborative & Interdisciplinary Engagement </strong><br><ul><li>Participate in hospital and community health initiatives focused on reducing disparities. </li><li>Partner with GME personnel and clinical teams at Parkland and UT Southwestern for program development and compliance. </li><li>Demonstrate leadership by addressing complex clinical situations with innovative problem-solving and effective communication. </li> </ul> Qualifications:<ul><li><strong>Board Certified </strong> in Internal Medicine (required). </li><li>Valid medical license to practice in Texas or eligible for licensure. </li><li>Proven experience in outpatient internal medicine, population health, or health equity initiatives preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to health equity, social justice, and community-centered care. </li><li>Strong teaching skills and experience mentoring medical residents or students. </li><li>Experience with quality improvement methodologies and data-driven clinical practices. </li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. </li> </ul> Benefits & Career Development:<ul><li>Competitive salary package commensurate with experience and training. </li><li>Opportunities for academic leadership, teaching, and scholarly research. </li><li>Participation in innovative population health, quality improvement, and health equity initiatives. </li><li>Professional growth through mentorship, continuous education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. </li><li>Supportive environment fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. </li><li>Being part of a nationally recognized academic healthcare system committed to excellence and community service. </li> </ul> Why Join Us?<br>At Parkland, you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery by championing health equity and value-based care.
