<strong>Gastroenterology Opening - Harlingen, Texas </strong><br /> <strong>Outpatient Only No Call Up to $395K + Loan Repayment </strong><br /> <br /> A leading integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a <strong>Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist </strong> to join a well-supported outpatient GI practice with a focus on comprehensive digestive health and Hepatitis care.<br /> This opportunity offers excellent work-life balance with no call, no weekends, and a manageable patient schedule in a collaborative clinical environment.<br /> <br /> <strong>Position Highlights </strong> <ul> <li>Outpatient-only Gastroenterology practice </li><li>Monday-Friday schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM </li><li>No call responsibilities </li><li>No weekends or holidays </li><li>Low daily patient volume: approximately 5-10 patients per day </li><li>Strong nursing and administrative support </li><li>Opportunity for teaching and research involvement </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Compensation & Benefits </strong><br /> <strong>Compensation </strong> <ul> <li>$300,000-$395,000 salary </li><li>Recruitment and relocation incentives available </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Comprehensive Benefits Package </strong> <ul> <li>Up to <strong>$200,000 in student loan repayment assistance </strong> </li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>Retirement plan with matching contributions </li><li>Generous PTO and paid holidays </li><li>CME support </li><li>Malpractice coverage included </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Responsibilities </strong> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in the outpatient setting </li><li>Diagnose and manage GI conditions including chronic liver disease and Hepatitis </li><li>Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for GI patients </li><li>Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams </li><li>Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans </li><li>Participate in teaching, mentorship, and potential research activities </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Procedural Responsibilities </strong><br /> Physicians should be comfortable performing a broad range of GI procedures, including: <ul> <li>EGD </li><li>Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy </li><li>ERCP </li><li>Polypectomy </li><li>Liver biopsy </li><li>PEG placement </li><li>Esophageal dilation </li><li>Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) </li><li>Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy </li><li>Esophageal stent placement </li><li>Additional diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Qualifications </strong> <ul> <li>MD or DO from an accredited medical school </li><li>Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license </li><li>Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology </li><li>Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams </li><li>Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Why Harlingen, Texas? </strong><br /> Harlingen offers: <ul> <li>Warm weather year-round </li><li>Affordable cost of living </li><li>Close proximity to South Padre Island </li><li>Excellent food, culture, and outdoor recreation </li><li>Family-friendly communities and relaxed lifestyle </li> </ul> <br /> For more information contact: <br />
