<br><strong>Neonatologist Full-Time Perm Position </strong><br /><strong>Location: </strong> Kansas City, Missouri (Details to be discussed during interview)<br><strong>Overview: </strong><br />Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist to join our esteemed neonatal care team. This full-time role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide comprehensive neonatal services within a collaborative environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, innovation, and professional growth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering advanced in-house NICU care across multiple facilities within the Saint Luke's Health System.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong><br><ul><li>Provide direct, in-house coverage at a Level-IIIB NICU with 49 designated beds, managing critically ill neonates, including those as premature as 22 weeks gestational age. </li><li>Utilize advanced therapies such as inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), and therapeutic hypothermia for critically ill neonates. </li><li>Care for over 450 annual NICU admissions, maintaining an average daily census of approximately 30 patients. </li><li>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of board-certified neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs), supporting their around-the-clock in-house coverage. </li><li>Oversee or assist with care in a 15-bed Level-IIIA NICU, a growing Level-II NICU, and well-baby care units. </li><li>Participate in telehealth-supported out-of-hospital neonatal coverage and regional neonatal delivery services. </li><li>Engage actively in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient safety. </li><li>Pursue individual academic and clinical interests to foster professional development. </li> </ul><br><strong>Qualifications and Certifications: </strong><br><ul><li>MD or DO degree with eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri. </li><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology. </li><li>Proven expertise in managing critically ill neonates, including extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGAN). </li><li>Strong team collaboration and communication skills. </li> </ul><br><strong>Benefits and Career Development: </strong><br><ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, with flexibility to discuss expectations upfront. </li><li>Generous signing bonus and relocation assistance to support your transition. </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; flexible spending accounts (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) options, and a 401(k) retirement plan. </li><li>Opportunity to participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Program and additional voluntary payroll benefits. </li><li>Commitment to work-life balance, employee well-being, and professional growth through ongoing education, research opportunities, and involvement in quality improvement projects. </li> </ul><br>Join our team and contribute to delivering excellence in neonatal care while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment.
