Locum Tenens Opportunity: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine near Seattle, WA <p>Are you a dedicated physician with expertise in General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury? If youre interested in contributing to a vital role in serving our nation's Veterans, this could be the perfect fit for you. </p> Position Overview: <ul><li><strong>Profession </strong>: Physician </li><li><strong>Specialty </strong>: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine </li><li><strong>Dates </strong>: ASAP - Ongoing </li><li><strong>Shift Type </strong>: Days </li><li><strong>Rate Type </strong>: Daily </li> </ul> Coverage Details: <ul><li><strong>Options for Coverage </strong>:<ul><li>Travel and perform exams at a VES leased facility </li><li>Schedule Veterans within your own practice </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Shift Options </strong>: Work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours) </li><li><strong>Exam Type </strong>: One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + separation health assessments </li> </ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Conduct interviews and physical assessments including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury </li><li>Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams </li><li>No prescribing or treatment required </li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul><li><strong>Board Certification </strong>: Required in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) </li><li><strong>State License </strong>: Required in Washington </li><li><strong>Certifications </strong>: DMA certification (CME credits available) must obtain if not already certified; client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training </li><li><strong>Equipment </strong>: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) </li><li><strong>Required Skills </strong>: Use of Goniometer, familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio; proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions </li> </ul> Additional Information: <ul><li><strong>Credentialing Timeframe </strong>: Quick credentialing & onboarding </li><li><strong>Support </strong>: Normal nursing and tech support available at the facility </li> </ul><p>This locum tenens role offers flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact on Veterans' health while working in a supportive environment.
