<b>JOB OVERVIEW </b><br>Job Title: Obstetrician/Gynecologist Physician <br>Job Type: Permanent Full-Time <br>Location: Blackfoot, ID <br>Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic, Labor & Delivery, and Surgical Services within a Non-Profit Critical Access Hospital <br>Schedule: Predictable weekly structure integrating OB coverage and GYN clinic; flexible clinic scheduling <br>On-Call Expectations: Structured 1-in-4 call model <br><b>PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE </b> <br>Patient Demographics: Women and adolescent females across the reproductive and gynecologic lifespan <br>Average Daily Volume / Census: Approximately 30 deliveries/month; consistent clinic volume for GYN and womens health services <br>Admissions & Rounding: Required during OB call weeks for Labor & Delivery patients <br>Consults & Follow-Ups: ER consultations and obstetric follow-ups during call weeks; GYN follow-ups during clinic weeks <br>Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, routine and complex womens health, prenatal care, preventative care <br><b>FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS </b> <br>Specialty Backup: Collaborative support with anesthesia, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, and nursing teams <br>Support Staff: Dedicated OB clinic team, experienced L&D nursing staff, and proactive administrative support <br>Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer <br><b>CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE </b> <br>Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 6090 days <br><b>COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS </b> <br>Base Salary: Nationally competitive salary with no-cap productivity bonuses <br>Incentive Bonus Structure: Quality-based incentives available <br>Relocation Assistance: $40,000 relocation bonus <br>Student Loan Repayment: Potential eligibility for federal and state programs <br>CME Allowance: $5,000 annually + 40 hours CME <br>PTO & Holidays: 160 hours of PTO annually; standard observed holidays <br>Health & Retirement Benefits: <br>Medical, Dental, Vision <br>Retirement plan with employer contributions <br>Life & Disability Coverage <br>Malpractice Insurance (coverage provided; tail not specified) <br><b>REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS </b> <br>Board Status: BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology <br>Active Idaho M edical License/Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure <br>Certifications: BLS and ACLS required <br>Experience: OB/GYN experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply <br>Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills; ability to provide patient-centered, team-based care; EMR proficiency <br><b>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </b> <br>Provide comprehensive obstetric care including prenatal management, deliveries, and postpartum care <br>Participate in a structured 1-in-4 call model covering Labor & Delivery, ER consults, and C-sections <br>Deliver gynecologic and womens health services including clinic care and surgical procedures <br>Collaborate with a cohesive OB/GYN team to maintain consistent coverage and shared protocols <br>Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation <br>Support ongoing quality initiatives and contribute to program development <br><b>COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS </b> <br>About the Area: Blackfoot offers a welcoming, family-friendly community with small-town charm and strong local support <br>Local Attractions: Skiing, hiking, fishing, and access to Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley <br>School System: Well-rated public schools with charter and private options available in surrounding cities <br>Housing: Affordable housing options across diverse neighborhoods <br>Demographic & Professional Profile: Community of families, outdoor enthusiasts, and committed medical professionals <br>Nearby Cities: Centrally located between Idaho Falls and Pocatello <br>Nearest Airport: Idaho Falls Regional Airport <br>Distance from Airport: Approximately 25 minutes by car <br>
