<b> JOB OVERVIEW </b> <br>Job Title: Physician Hematology/Oncology <br>Job Type: Permanent <br>Location: Dothan, AL <br>Service Setting: Outpatient & Inpatient Cancer Center <br>Coverage Type: Clinical + Call <br>Coverage Period: Ongoing <br>Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri (Hours TBD) <br>On-Call Shift Schedule: Shared Call <br>Call Type: Rotational <br>Call Ratio: 1:4 <br><b> PATIENT INFORMATION </b> <br>Patient Demographics: Adults (general hematology/oncology) <br>Admissions: Yes <br>Rounding: Yes (inpatient cancer floor) <br>Phone Consults: Yes <br>Case Mix: Hematology and oncology patients across full spectrum <br><b> FACILITY INFORMATION </b> <br>No. of Beds in Department: 420-bed hospital; 21 infusion rooms; dedicated inpatient oncology floors <br>Trauma Level: Level II <br>Office Equipment Available: Radiation therapy and infusion center onsite; certified oncology nurses; onsite fitness facility <br>Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology, hospitalist support, radiology, pain management, neurosurgery <br>Support Staff Available: 3 board-certified Hem/Onc physicians, certified oncology nurses, multidisciplinary cancer team <br>Reason for Coverage: Practice expansion <br><b> PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE </b> <br>Hospital Privileges Required: Yes <br><b> COMPENSATION & BENEFITS </b> <br>Rate: Highly competitive compensation package with productivity bonus <br>Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Paid malpractice with tail; paid interview expenses <br>Additional Benefits: $100k signing bonus, health/dental/disability/life insurance, CME/licensure allowance, student loan repayment <br><b> REQUIRED PROCEDURES </b> <br>Outpatient chemotherapy management <br>Inpatient consults and co-management <br>Hematologic evaluations and treatments <br><b> JOB REQUIREMENTS </b> <br>Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama <br>Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology <br>Experience: Fellowship trained in Hem/Onc <br>Other Qualifications: Team-oriented, able to work in collaborative environment; PSLF eligible <br><b> DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </b> <br>Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a hospital-based cancer center <br>Participate in shared 1:4 call rotation <br>Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care team <br>Engage in both inpatient and outpatient care delivery <br>Participate in teaching and academic opportunities through affiliation with ACOM <br>
