JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Wound Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Springfield, IL Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Aug 31, 2026 Oct 09, 2026 Shift Schedule: 4-5 days per week; 8a-5p at least 8 weeks of coverage Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 25 patients/day Case Mix: Wound care cases (chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds) Supervise HBOs FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 Office Staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: IL or IMLC Certifications: BLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive wound care in an outpatient clinic setting Perform wound assessments, debridement, and advanced dressing changes Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for chronic and acute wounds Collaborate with nursing staff, office personnel, and referring providers Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
