RN Clinical Education Specialist OR & Procedural Areas Durbin Park Full Time

Overview: <p>Utilizes a global perspective when assessing educational needs toward the development and implementation of curriculum for hospital-wide programs. Performs outcomes analysis of current programs to determine needed modifications to content to enhance patient outcomes, staff performance, clinical competence and professional development. Teaches, develops and mentors through a broad range of activities that lead to the development and implementation of a professional practice model. Leads in the planning, implementation and evaluation of new systems/processes as they impact staff competency in the delivery of patient centered care. Facilitates an environment that values and enhances research, knowledge and professional development. </p> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides for course development and implementation, evaluation and management of educational activities at both the facility and collegiate program. Leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of new systems/processes as they impact the patient care model and development of staff at all levels including preceptors, RN's LPN's, PCA's, CA's and other roles as assigned. </li><li>Performs outcomes analysis of current programs and consults with nursing management, PI and Risk Management to determine methods to enhance patient outcomes and increase staff competency. </li><li>Mentors and coaches assigned staff daily by working directly with staff to ensure their practice is consistent with performance expectations. </li><li>Participates in providing and coordinating at least 6 (six) nursing and/or hospital wide educational presentations annually. </li><li>Develops curriculum for competency programs based on identified hospital and unit needs. </li> </ul> Qualifications: <p>Required education: </p><ul><li>Master's Degree in Nursing </li> </ul><p>Required certifications: </p><ul><li>Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification required within 1 year of hire. </li><li>BLS </li><li>ACLS </li><li>Instructor certification for BLS/ACLS and PALS preferred </li> </ul><p>Required experience: </p><ul><li>1 year of RN teaching experience </li><li>2 years of RN OR experience </li> </ul><p>Required license: </p><ul><li>Active State of Florida RN license </li> </ul>
