Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

<strong>Description </strong><br><p>We are seeking a <strong>Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant </strong> to join our <strong>Orthopedic Surgery team in Beaumont, TX </strong>. This role includes a <strong>combination of surgical first assist responsibilities and outpatient clinic duties </strong>, with <strong>no inpatient coverage required </strong>. The ideal candidate will have orthopedic experience and either possess <strong>first assist experience </strong> or be <strong>willing to obtain first assist training </strong>. </p> Key Responsibilities <ul><li> <p>Serve as <strong>first assist </strong> in orthopedic surgical procedures </p> </li><li> <p>Provide outpatient clinic care including post-operative and follow-up visits </p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate and manage musculoskeletal conditions in a clinic setting </p> </li><li> <p>Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic studies </p> </li><li> <p>Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, splinting, or casting as appropriate </p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinic staff to ensure continuity of care </p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients on treatment plans, surgical recovery, and rehabilitation expectations </p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR </p> </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul><li> <p>Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant </p> </li><li> <p>National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) </p> </li><li> <p>Previous orthopedic or surgical experience preferred </p> </li><li> <p><strong>First assist experience required OR willingness to obtain first assist training </strong> </p> </li><li> <p>Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in both clinic and OR settings </p> </li> </ul>
