This position offers a full-time schedule with a supportive team, starting as soon as April 28, 2026.<br><strong>Quick Facts </strong><br><ul><li><strong>Location: </strong> 1400 East Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 </li><li><strong>Start Date: </strong> 04/28/2026 </li><li><strong>End Date/Duration: </strong> Permanent </li><li><strong>Shift: </strong> M-F, rotating through operating room coverage; full days in clinics and ICU </li><li><strong>Hours/Week: </strong> 40 hours/week </li><li><strong>Employment Type: </strong> Full-time </li><li><strong>Licenses/Certifications: </strong> Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado; DEA certification required </li><li><strong>Experience: </strong> Minimum of 2 years in cardiovascular or cardiac ICU/ surgery preferred </li> </ul><br><strong>Pay & Benefits </strong><br><ul><li><strong>Pay Package: </strong> Competitive annual salary between $100,588 and $143,769 (based on experience) </li><li><strong>Additional Compensation: </strong> Eligibility for quality and productivity bonuses, relocation bonus for qualifying candidates </li><li><strong>Insurance & Retirement: </strong> Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance including dependent coverage; 403(b) with employer match, optional 457(b) plan </li><li><strong>Paid Time Off & Leave: </strong> PTO from day one, paid family and medical leave (including Colorado FAMLI) </li><li><strong>Additional Benefits: </strong> Paid malpractice insurance, CME allowance, tuition assistance, wellness programs, voluntary benefits such as identity theft protection and pet insurance </li> </ul><br><strong>What You'll Do </strong><br><ul><li>Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients, emphasizing compassionate, patient-first treatment </li><li>Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and assisting in procedures </li><li>Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation in CVICU, floors, and clinics </li><li>Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed </li><li>Rotate through operating room coverage from Monday to Friday </li><li>Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment </li><li>Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostic tests </li><li>Develop and follow through on care plans and patient follow-up </li><li>Prescribe medications in line with regulatory requirements </li><li>Perform bedside procedures as appropriate </li><li>Maintain thorough and timely documentation of care provided </li><li>Demonstrate clinical expertise and work independently under physician supervision </li><li>Maintain ongoing education to meet state and national requirements </li><li>Adapt to a dynamic, high-stress clinical setting with flexibility and teamwork </li> </ul><br><strong>What You Need </strong><br><ul><li>Colorado Nurse Practitioner license </li><li>Minimum 2 years' experience in cardiac or cardiovascular ICU/surgery preferred </li><li>Ability to perform bedside procedures and manage complex patient cases </li><li>Strong communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills </li> </ul><br><strong>About the Assignment </strong><br />Join a dedicated and innovative team at a top healthcare facility in Colorado Springs, committed to providing world-class cardiothoracic care.
