Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

<strong>Description </strong><br>Job Summary <p>We are seeking an <strong>experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant </strong> to join our <strong>Urgent Care team in San Marcos, TX </strong>. The ideal candidate will have prior urgent care experience and thrive in a fast-paced, outpatient environment delivering high-quality, efficient patient care. </p> Key Responsibilities <ul><li> <p>Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and non-emergent conditions </p> </li><li> <p>Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and other urgent care services </p> </li><li> <p>Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests including labs and imaging </p> </li><li> <p>Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and follow-up care </p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with urgent care physicians and support staff to ensure efficient, team-based care </p> </li><li> <p>Document all encounters accurately and timely in the EMR </p> </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul><li> <p>Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant </p> </li><li> <p>National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) </p> </li><li> <p><strong>Previous urgent care experience required </strong> </p> </li><li> <p>BLS and ACLS certifications </p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment </p> </li> </ul> Schedule & Compensation <ul><li> <p><strong>3 shifts per week </strong>, with <strong>rotating weekends </strong> </p> </li><li> <p>Competitive salary based on experience </p> </li><li> <p>Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match </p> </li> </ul> Why San Marcos? <p>San Marcos is a thriving community located between Austin and San Antonio, offering excellent schools, outdoor recreation, a vibrant cultural scene, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere with quick access to big-city amenities. </p>
