The Arc Carroll County is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small residential home setting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Available Shifts:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Taneytown House 1:</strong> Sunday 9a-3p; Monday 3p-10p; Wednesday 6p-10p; Saturday 9a-3p or 4p-9p</li><li><strong>Taneytown House 2: </strong>Sunday 7a-3p or 3p-10p; Tuesday 3p-10p; Thursday 3p-10p; Friday 8a-4p or 3p-9p; Saturday 7a-3p or 3p-10p</li><li><strong>Westminster House 1: </strong>Sunday 8a-3p or 3p-10p; Saturday 3p-10p</li><li><strong>Westminster House 2:</strong> Overnights - Friday 11:30p- Saturday 6a; Saturday 11p- Sunday 8a; Sunday 11p - Monday 8:30a</li></ul><p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Support individuals in a community living residential home</li><li>Create and implement innovative, engaging, and meaningful daily routines and activities</li><li>Assist with meal planning, cooking, laundry, and light housekeeping</li><li>Provide personal care, medication administration, and mobility support as needed</li><li>Provide transportation and support community access</li><li>Promote independence, choice, and self-advocacy</li><li>Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive home environment</li><li>Complete required documentation and follow agency and state guidelines</li></ul><p><strong>Pay & Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>$19.68/hour + $2.00 weekend differential</li><li>Paid Sick Time</li><li>403(b) retirement plan (eligible upon hire)</li><li>Employee Assistance & Wellness Programs</li><li>Credit Union membership</li><li>No experience required - paid training provided!</li><li>DSP certification program with potential bonuses of $1,000-$1,500 in your first year and annually thereafter</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>18+ years old</li><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Valid U.S. driver's license that has not been suspended or revoked</li><li>Ability to pass background, drug, and driving record checks</li><li>Computer and keyboarding skills</li><li>Ability to complete required training courses, including CPR, First Aid, Med Tech Certification, and other DDA-mandated training</li><li>Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 lbs frequently and assist with transfers</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing</li><li>Ability to assist with wheelchair handling, transfers, and securing individuals safely in vehicles</li></ul><p><strong>Help create a supportive home where people can thrive-apply today!</strong></p><br><br><p><strong>Compensation details:</strong> 19.68-19.68 Hourly Wage</p><br><br><p>PI54a5-</p>
