<p><strong>Academic Hospitalist Physician</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>UPMC Presbyterian | UPMC Shadyside | UPMC Mercy | Magee-Women's Hospital Pittsburgh, PA</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP), Section of Hospital Medicine is seeking Board Eligible or Board-Certified Internal Medicine physicians to join our dynamic and growing academic hospitalist programs across multiple UPMC sites in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.</p><p><br></p><p>Physicians will provide comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized patients from admission through discharge, including performing detailed histories and physical examinations, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care to optimize outcomes. Hospitalists will strategize to improve and manage patient health while safely reducing length of stay through high-quality, efficient medical practices.</p><p><br></p><p>Physicians work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team alongside other hospitalists, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Residents, and Fellows, fostering a team-based approach to patient care.</p><p><br></p><p>Positions typically follow a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, and both day and night opportunities are available.
