<p><strong>Location:</strong> Hampton Roads Region, Virginia (Suffolk & Newport News)</p><p><strong>Specialty:</strong> Electrophysiology Cardiology</p><p><strong>Organization:</strong> Bon Secours Mercy Health</p><p>The Opportunity</p><p>Bon Secours is seeking a <strong>fellowship-trained Electrophysiology Cardiologist</strong> to join our established and growing cardiovascular team in the beautiful <strong>coastal Hampton Roads region of Virginia</strong>. This position will be based primarily at our <strong>new Harbour View Medical Center EP Lab in Suffolk, VA</strong>- a state-of-the-art facility slated for completion in <strong>2026</strong>-with future expansion of EP services anticipated at <strong>Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News </strong>in <strong>2027</strong>.</p><p>You'll join a collegial and experienced cardiology group with robust clinical and administrative support, advanced technology, and access to a diverse and growing patient population.</p><p><strong>Start date for this position is 2027.</strong></p><p>Position Highlights</p><ul><li><p>Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.</p></li><li><p>Call: 1:6 weekends with weekday rotation</p></li><li><p>Patient Volume: 20+ patients per day</p></li><li><p>Population: Adult and Geriatric</p></li><li><p>EMR: EPIC (inpatient & outpatient), MyChart integration, and DAX/CoPilot AI charting, Dragon dictation</p></li><li><p>Mentorship: Available for new graduates</p></li><li><p><strong>Effective 7/1/26 - No Non-Compete in employment agreement</strong></p></li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide comprehensive electrophysiology care, including diagnosis and management of abnormal heart rhythms</p></li><li><p>Perform procedures such as <strong>Watchman device implantation, ablations including left-sided/left sided access, device implants, lead extractions, 3D mapping and difficult arrhythmias</strong></p></li><li><p>Manage complex cases with the support of an experienced, multidisciplinary staff</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with other specialists across the Bon Secours network to deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology by ABMS/ABIM</p></li><li><p>U.S. Based Residency and Fe lowship training programs</p></li><li><p>Felowship Trained in Electrophysiology</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Watchman procedures, ablations, and device implants</p></li><li><p>Unrestricted medical licensure OR Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Virginia</p></li><li><p>New graduates and experienced electrophysiologists are encouraged to apply</p></li></ul><p>Authorized to work anywhere in the U.S</p><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><p>Bon Secours offers a <strong>competitive compensation package</strong> designed to reward excellence and support work-life balance:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Guaranteed base salary</strong> <strong>$700,000 for first two years</strong> plus productivity and quality incentives if wRVU threshold is met.</p></li><li><p><strong>Bonus Available</strong>: wRVU Productivity, $ per wRVU Quality goal, System KPI attainment</p></li><li><p><strong>Position Eligible for $3,000/month Training Program Stipend</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Starting bonus</strong> and <strong>student loan debt assistance available</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Relocation reimbursement</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) support</strong> with collaboration stipend</p></li><li><p><strong>Annual CME allowance:</strong> $10,000</p></li><li><p><strong>35 days Front-loaded Allowed Time Off </strong>prorated based on start date</p></li><li><p><strong>Up to 8 weeks for Parental Time Off -</strong> birth or adoption</p></li><li><p><strong>Comprehensive benefits package</strong> including multiple medical plan options, dental, vision, and prescription coverage</p></li><li><p><strong>403b retirement savings plus matching on first 4%</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan for Physicians - 5% of clinical comp up to $25,000 per year first 3 years, subsequent years based on productivity</strong></p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Hampton Roads?</strong></p><p>The <strong>Hampton Roads region</strong>-known locally as <strong>"The 757"</strong>-is a dynamic coastal community where the <strong>Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean</strong>.
