Gastroenterologist (General, Advanced & GI Hospitalist) Southwest Michigan

<p>A physician-led, nonprofit health system in southwest Michigan is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist and GI Hospitalist to join its established and growing Gastroenterology program. The incoming physician will have the opportunity to join a collaborative team with flexibility to pursue an outpatient Gastroenterology practice, GI Hospitalist role, or a combination of both based on the needs of the practice.<br><br>Practice Highlights<br><br>* Join an established Gastroenterology practice alongside three experienced Gastroenterologists and a dedicated team of Advanced Practice Providers<br>* Flexible practice model with opportunities in General Gastroenterology, GI Hospitalist Medicine, or a combination of outpatient and inpatient practice<br>* Advanced Endoscopy skills, including ERCP and EUS, are preferred but not required<br>* Additional clinical interests including Motility/Neurogastroenterology, Hepatology, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease are welcomed<br>* Procedures performed at multiple hospital campuses as well as an ambulatory surgery center<br>* Strong APP support<br>* Teaching opportunities available through an affiliated medical school, including adjunct faculty appointments and medical student rotations<br>* Both conscious sedation and general anesthesia available depending on procedure type and location<br>* Modern Cerner Oracle EMR utilized across all inpatient and outpatient settings<br><br>Practice Structure<br><br>* Monday through Friday outpatient clinic schedule with dedicated procedure time<br>* Opportunity for a traditional outpatient Gastroenterology practice, dedicated GI Hospitalist position, or a combination of both<br>* GI Hospitalist schedule can support a traditional 7-on/7-off rotation or a similar schedule<br>* Outpatient physicians typically see approximately 12-14 patients per clinic day, depending on in-office procedures<br>* Inpatient and outpatient positions are recruited separately and can be tailored to physician interests and practice needs<br><br>Compensation and Benefits<br><br>* Competitive compensation package<br>* Comprehensive benefits package<br><br>Community<br><br>Southwest Michigan offers an outstanding quality of life with a unique blend of metropolitan amenities and outdoor recreation.
