<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>Tulane University School of Medicine's John W. Deming Department of Medicine is seeking a <strong>Clinician Researcher in General Oncology</strong> to join the faculty. This is a full-time position within the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts to expand clinical care while ensuring excellence in research and education.</p><p>This position is ideal for an <strong>ABIM-certified (or eligible) medical oncologist</strong> with experience in medical oncology.</p><ul><li><p><strong>Clinical Care:</strong> Provide exceptional outpatient care in a variety of oncologic diseases with a minimum of 4.5 days of clinic a week. Participate in consult services and provide care to patients with and without fellows-in training. Participate in quality initiatives and improvement projects. Comply promptly with billing, documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements.</p></li><li><p><strong>Education & Mentorship:</strong> Train and mentor fellows, residents, and medical/graduate students in clinical trials and medical oncology. Supervise and mentor fellows-in-training in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Provide educational activities- including giving periodic Medical Grand Rounds lectures to faculty, fellows, residents, and students. Participate in quarterly evaluations of fellows-in-training.</p></li><li><p><strong>Research & Clinical Trials:</strong> Recruit patients to investigator-initiated and collaborative clinical trials supported by the Tulane Cancer Center's Clinical Trials Office.
