Since our inception in 1941, Watson Clinic has evolved into one of Southeast's largest and most successful multi-specialty medical groups.</p><p><strong>Full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Widick and his established office-based practice at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm (or until all patients are seen).</strong></p><p>At least 1+ years of previous experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is required.</p><p><strong>Job Duties include:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients (18+), including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice</p></li><li><p>Accurately performs a history and physical examinations</p></li><li><p>Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate</p></li><li><p>Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures</p></li><li><p>Completes necessary documentation promptly</p></li><li><p>Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician</p></li><li><p>Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status</p></li><li><p>Documents examination results & records progress notes and provides continuity of care.</p></li><li><p>Call details are available upon request.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li><p>BLS certification is required.</p></li><li><p>PA board certification is required.</p></li><li><p>Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.</p></li></ul><p>This position earns competitive compensation plus a complete benefits package, including 401(k) with a match!
