In the role you will:<br><br>* Assume responsibility and accountability for rapid assessment, nursing diagnosis and works with MD partners to assure safe patient diagnostic testing and optimal plan of care.<br>* Perform advanced practice procedures.<br>* Utilize the nursing process to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient.<br>* Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.<br><br>Position Summary:<br>Under the direction of the APP Regional Director (DAPP), site Medical Director (SMD), and as a peer leader, serve to oversee and improve care delivery at the facility by performing the following duties:<br><br>Implementation of Guidelines<br><br>* Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.<br>* Assists with the implementation of all initiatives to support the goals and overall objectives of the APP team.<br><br>Attending Meetings<br><br>* Engages in monthly team meetings and multidisciplinary meetings.<br>* Attends APP team meetings on a monthly basis.<br><br>Identify & Escalate Facility Issues<br><br>* Engages in ongoing collaboration with the SMD and DAPP.<br><br>Ongoing Training & Development of the APP Team<br><br>* Improves and maintains effective team communication and cohesiveness.<br>* Participates in the professional growth of self and team APPs.<br>* Coaches and counsels the APP core team.<br>* Acts as a resource for current protocols.<br>* Arranges annual skills labs.<br>* Supports APP team Quality Improvement (QI) projects.<br>* Reviews chart audits for bi-annual OPPE/FPPE evaluations.<br>* Performs team evaluations twice a year (spring/fall) for OPPE & FPPE.<br><br>Maintain Relationships with All Partners (Internal & External)<br><br>* Sustains trust and transparency in communication between APP/NEO/OPS.<br>* Builds and maintains relationships, and checks in regularly, with the NICU Nursing Director and Managers at the hospital.<br>* Organizes and participates in education for affiliated Level 1 Facilities in your region.<br><br>Participate in Recruitment When Applicable<br><br>* Assists with the interview and selection process in collaboration with the Medical Director and Recruiter to ensure proper recruitment and retention of qualified APP candidates.<br><br>Scheduling<br><br>* Assists in the facilitation and confirmation of the core APP schedule (refer to scheduling guidelines for specifics).<br>* Assists with the facilitation of orientation for new core staff in collaboration with the Practice Coordinator.<br><br>Shift - This position will utilize 24 HR shifts. This is the standard for NICU APP shifts. 0.5 shift requirement is 39 per year.<br><br>#HEC<br><br>Job Requirements<br><br>In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:<br><br>* 1 year of experience in a clinical or advance practice setting, preferred<br>* Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty<br>* Graduate from an Accredited School Of Nursing required<br>* Board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty.<br>* RN License required<br>* BLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting<br>* ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting<br>* Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan.<br><br>Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)<br><br>Where You'll Work<br><br>Our resources include supply chain expertise, technology implementation trainers, contracting experts, centralized credentialing, financial reporting/modeling and communication - so providers can spend their time doing what matters most - caring for patients and serving their communities.
