<p><strong>Join the Noble Mission in Healthcare: Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity in Phoenix!</strong></p><p><strong>Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our nation's Veterans?</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Board-Certified, highly qualified, experienced orthopedic surgeon to join our exceptional team.</span></p><p><strong>Why Join PVAHCS?</strong></p><p><strong>Purpose:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Provide excellent musculoskeletal surgical care to all Veterans.</span></p><p><strong>Mission:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Deliver high-quality, comprehensive musculoskeletal surgical care efficiently and timely to improve functionality and quality of life for all Veterans.</span></p><p><strong>Vision:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Aggressively pursue best evidence-based, state-of-the-art musculoskeletal surgical care through continuous research, education, and innovation.</span></p><p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a key member of our team, you will perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including:</span></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Basic fracture stabilization</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Soft tissue repair</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arthroscopy</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arthroplasty (with a current focus on primary and revision total hip and knee replacements)</span></li></ul><p><strong>Note:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> An adult joint reconstruction fellowship is highly desirable and will be given additional consideration.</span></p><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Pay:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Competitive salary + annual performance bonus + regular salary increases.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Paid Time Off:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> 50-55 days of annual paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME).</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Retirement:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401k with up to 5% in contributions by VA.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Insurance:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>CME:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Education Debt Reduction Program</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Up to $200,000 in student loan repayment*</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Malpractice:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><strong>Contract:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Employment Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory.
