<p><strong>RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for the Department of Pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center</strong></p><p>RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey's largest integrated health care system, is seeking a full-time <strong>Pediatric Hospitalist</strong> to join the Department of Pediatrics at <strong>Newark Beth Israel Medical Center</strong> in Newark, NJ. This position offers a robust inpatient setting with opportunities for clinical care, teaching, and collaboration in a mission-driven environment.</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care for <strong>both our newborn nursery and inpatient pediatric units</strong> while supporting resident and medical student education. This role includes participation in quality and safety initiatives and departmental activities to ensure delivery of exceptional pediatric care.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Admit and manage general pediatric patients on A5.</li><li>Provide consultations to surgical patients and complete history and physicals for CCIS (inpatient pediatric behavioral health).</li><li>Deliver in-hospital care to newborns and attend deliveries as requested.</li><li>Supervise, precept, teach, and mentor medical students and residents.</li><li>Participate in didactic sessions, board preparation, and resident evaluations.</li><li>Contribute to pediatric quality, safety, and performance improvement projects.</li><li>Attend departmental/divisional meetings and participate in administrative duties as assigned.</li><li>Share call coverage on an equal, rotating basis.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics</li><li>NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey</li><li>Prior pediatric inpatient or academic hospital experience preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $125,000 to $260,000 per year.</p><p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.</p><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>To learn more about this position and other opportunities with RWJBarnabas Health, please contact:<br /><strong>Melissa Fairley, Physician Recruiter</strong> - <a href="mailto:Melissa.Fairley@rwjbh.org">Melissa.Fairley@rwjbh.org</a></p>
