<p>Atrium Health Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its growing, well-established outpatient gastroenterology team in the Charlotte metro area. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a large, collaborative group with diverse subspecialty expertise and a strong focus on work-life balance.</p><p>Position Highlights</p><ul><li><p><strong>Virtual Outpatient-only role</strong> </p></li><li><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Variable hours including evenings and weekends</p><ul><li><p>4.5 clinic days per week</p></li><li><p>0.5 dedicated administrative day</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Patient Volume:</strong> Approximately 14 patients per day</p></li><li><p><strong>Procedures:</strong> PEG tube exchanges (training/support provided)</p></li></ul><p><strong>Practice Environment</strong></p><ul><li><p>Kenilworth office location</p></li><li><p>Team includes <strong>8 physicians and 5 APPs</strong> at the site</p></li><li><p>Larger group includes <strong>27 physicians and 27 APPs</strong> across the practice</p></li><li><p>Supportive leadership and highly experienced colleagues</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a growing metropolitan area</p></li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide outpatient gastroenterology care to adult patients</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues</p></li><li><p>Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination</p></li><li><p>Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Certified <strong>Physician Assistant</strong> or <strong>Primary Care Nurse Practitioner</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>North Carolina licensure</strong> (or ability to obtain)</p></li><li><p>Minimum of <strong>2 years of APP experience</strong> required (no new grads)</p></li><li><p>Interest in <strong>general gastroenterology</strong>; subspecialty interests welcomed</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><p>Competitive base salary (based on years of certification)</p></li><li><p><strong>Sign-on bonus available</strong></p></li><li><p>Comprehensive benefits package through Atrium Health</p></li><li><p>No academic or research requirement</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Atrium Health?</strong></p><p>This role offers the opportunity to join a respected gastroenterology group known for collegiality, strong clinical support, and excellent work-life balance-while practicing in one of the fastest-growing regions in the Southeast.</p>
