<p>Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)</p><p>Kaleidoscope Rx | Vancouver, WA | <strong>In-Person</strong> | Exempt Full Time - 4 days per week</p><p>Part-time considered (minimum 3 days per week)</p><p>WHO WE ARE</p><p>Kaleidoscope Rx is a neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+-affirming outpatient psychiatric medication management clinic in Vancouver, WA. You approach complex cases with curiosity and view medication management as a partnership with the patient, their families, and their broader care teams.</p><p>Our practice is rooted in neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+-affirming care, which we uphold as core values in every interaction. We prioritize thoughtful, whole-patient care and active coordination with outside treatment teams.</p><p>We serve patients starting at age 4 and require a commitment to delivering high-quality pediatric and adolescent care. We offer mentorship and support for clinicians dedicated to growing their skills in pediatric psychopharmacology.</p><p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p><ul><li>Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evidence-based medication management for patients aged 4 and older, including those with complex medical histories.</li><li>Partner with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on achieving their unique personal goals.</li><li>Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and efficiently handle administrative tasks like patient messages and refill requests.</li><li>Collaborate actively with our leadership team and colleagues through regular case reviews and peer consultation.</li><li>Apply a neurodiversity-affirming approach as the standard foundation for all patient interactions and clinical decision-making.</li></ul><p>WHAT TO EXPECT — STRUCTURE & SCHEDULE</p><p>We prioritize sustainable, high-quality care by structuring our clinical model to prevent burnout:</p><ul><li>Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (No Fridays). Part-time roles (minimum 3 days) are available.</li><li>Patient Appointments: 90-minute intakes and 30-minute follow-ups.</li><li>Dedicated Admin Time: 90 minutes of protected time daily for documentation, refills, authorizations, and case management.</li><li>Location: This is an in person position, based at our Vancouver, WA clinic with options for telemedicine follow-ups for established patients.</li></ul><p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>You hold a Master's or Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.</li><li>You have an active, unrestricted APRN/ARNP license in Washington.</li><li>Active Oregon APRN license required prior to start date (we see Oregon patients via telemedicine)</li><li>You maintain an active DEA registration.</li><li>You are board-certified as a PMHNP through the ANCC or AANPCB.</li><li>You feel comfortable prescribing for pediatric patients (ages 4+) or are excited to grow in this area. We value this clinical focus and provide the mentorship and training you need to feel confident.</li><li>You share our heart for neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIA+-affirming care, viewing these as the essential foundation of your clinical practice.</li></ul><p>VALUED EXPERIENCE</p><ul><li>While not required, we'd love to hear about any background you have working with children, adolescents, or neurodivergent populations.</li><li>It is helpful if you are familiar with evidence-based psychopharmacology across the lifespan, especially when managing complex comorbidities.</li><li>Experience with collaborative care or brief therapeutic interventions is always a plus in our team environment.</li><li>If you've practiced telepsychiatry before, that experience will translate well here.</li><li>Previous use of Valant or similar EHR systems can help you hit the ground running.</li><li>Bilingual skills are a wonderful asset that helps us better serve our community.</li></ul><p>COMPENSATION & BENEFITS</p><p>Salary range: $140,000 – $187,000 annually (equivalent to $75 - $100 per hour), commensurate with experience and career level.</p> <p>Benefits include:</p><ul><li>Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>CME stipend with DEA registration and licensure support</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>9 paid holidays per year</li><li>Unpaid time off available</li><li>401k with employer match</li><li>Employer sponsored whole life insurance</li><li>EAP program available</li></ul> <p>This is a salaried exempt position.
