(Bill Hefner) Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a <strong>full-time Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine Physician</strong> to join our collaborative, mission-driven team serving Veterans and their families.</p><p><strong>Duties but not limited to:</strong></p><p>Provide patient care in sleep and pulmonary medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.</p><p>Perform sleep and pulmonary histories, exams, and interpret diagnostic tests.</p><p>Order and oversee testing, therapies, and equipment such as CPAP and ventilators.</p><p>Support multidisciplinary care and collaborate with other services.</p><p>Educate staff through lectures and participate in quality improvement and committee activities.</p><p>Manage non-face-to-face consultations via telehealth.</p><p>For ICU coverage, provide invasive ventilator management.</p><p>Diagnose and treat sleep disorders, including sleep-disordered breathing.</p><p>Prescribe and manage medications and alternative therapies for sleep disorders.</p><p>Counsel and educate patients on treatment options and proper device use.</p><p><strong>Why Choose VA Salisbury?</strong></p><p>Competitive salary ($275,000-$375,000) with annual increases & performance bonus</p><p>Sign-on bonus authorized</p><p>Up to 55 days of paid time off per year (including CME)</p><p>Federal pension & 401(k) with up to 5% VA match</p><p>Excellent health, dental, vision, life, and long-term care insurance (many benefits carry into retirement)</p><p>Possible $2,500 CME reimbursement annually</p><p>Free liability protection with tail coverage</p><p>Any full, unrestricted U.S. medical license accepted</p><p>No physician employment contract or major moonlighting restrictions</p><p> </p><p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><p> MD/DO with completion of an accredited residency</p><p>Board certified/eligible in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine</p><p>Preference for candidates with:</p><p>Fellowship training in Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine (Critical Care training desired, but optional)</p><p>Board Certification (ABIM) preferred; board eligibility considered</p><p>U.S. Citizenship required (non-citizens considered per VA policy if qualified citizens are unavailable)</p><p> </p><p>Make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of Veteran care-join our team today!</p><p>Interested?
