Opportunity to take over Medical Director position.</p><p><strong>Staffing Model</strong></p><ul><li><p>3 Pediatric Intensivists evenly share coverage (full time is approximately 10 24hr days per month)</p></li><li><p>Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (with PICU training and experience) in house 24/7</p></li><li><p>Pediatric Nurse Practitioners provide first call for all patients</p></li><li><p>Intensivists take call from home</p></li></ul><p><strong>The Unit</strong></p><ul><li><p>14-bed combined PICU and pediatric floor (all private rooms, all rooms are PICU-capable)</p></li><li><p>Pediatric Nurse Practitioners primarily responsible for writing notes and orders</p></li><li><p>Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Intensivists together care for all patients (PICU and floor)</p></li><li><p>Excellent, experienced nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and therapists (physical, speech, and occupational)</p></li><li><p>Diverse and large catchment area. Only PICU in northern Arizona, which serves the Grand Canyon, Navajo Nation, and Arizona mountain region</p></li><li><p>Level 1 Trauma center</p></li><li><p>Active surgical services (including neurosurgery, ENT, general surgery, ortho, trauma, etc.)</p></li><li><p>All ventilator modalities (HFOV, etc.). No ECMO.
