About the Position

Our client is seeking professional CDL Class A drivers to support local grocery store deliveries throughout Illinois. Drivers will operate Freightliner day cab tractors with 53-foot refrigerated trailers and deliver grocery freight to retail locations. This is a heavy-touch position requiring drivers to load and unload trailers using an electric pallet jack.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay Rate: $38.46 per hour
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,900
• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday
• Work Hours: 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
• Hours per Week: 40
• Average Route Time: 8 to 10 hours per day
• Average Stops: 1 to 2 stops per route
• Employment Type: Temp-to-perm
• Anticipated Start Date: September 21, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer.
• Deliver refrigerated freight to grocery store locations throughout Illinois.
• Complete dock deliveries at grocery store facilities.
• Load and unload trailers using an electric pallet jack.
• Handle freight safely and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow all DOT and FMCSA safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing our client.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Comfortable handling touch freight and completing dock deliveries.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
