Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:15am-4:45pm or 8:30am-5:00pm

 

Women's Specialty Care is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Part-Time Sonographer to join our growing team in Asheville, North Carolina. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
    • ARDMS or ARRT registry required. If not currently registered, must be eligible for registry and has 12 months from date of hire to complete registry. required.
  • Experience: One year experience in Sonography, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: 
    • ARRT RT(S) or ARDMS certified or Board eligible, required.
    • ARDMS certified within first year of employment, required.
  • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Basic computer skills.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including breast, transvaginal, pelvic, gynecologic, and obstetric studies, according to established protocols.
  • Obtain high-quality images and ensure accurate documentation for physician interpretation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, promoting comfort, and maintaining patient safety throughout the examination process.
  • Accurately document patient histories, consents, and examination details in the electronic medical record.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform quality assurance checks, and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized examination environment and ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Collaborate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and colleagues to support efficient patient care and workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational compliance standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
